A short documentary made about the genesis of YOUR LAST BREATH, created by our friends Villager.

This short film follows Jack Lowe, the artistic director of theatre company Curious Directive, meeting Anna Bågenholm; the real life inspiration for the Award Winning play Your Last Breath. After a skiing accident in 1999, Anna became trapped under a frozen lake. Her heart stopped for 80 minutes, but against all odds she survived. Hear her discuss the accident in her own words, and how life felt after this second chance. Produced by Georgia Woolley for Villager Filmed and Edited by Matt Cooper Music by Theo Whitworth

2014

A long-form documentary following the making of THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS from our creative associate, Jasmine Robinson.

A documentary about the process of taking The Kindness Of Stangers by curious directive on a UK tour. The Kindness of Strangers is a once in a life-time journey into the world of the paramedic, where the audience are invited into the back of a moving ambulance to witness all that comes with a night shift from 7pm - 7am. Travelling around the city, audiences ride along with Lisa, who is on her first night shift. Championing the front line workers of the NHS, The Kindness of Strangers has been developed developed with East of England Paramedic Tracey Dye and Wellcome Trust Public Engagement fellow and surgeon Professor Roger Kneebone (Imperial). Through out the tour we will be calling on the help of locals, aged 16-82, to perform roles during the show and contribute to the piece, providing local insight, knowledge and experience, making the show bespoke to each city on tour. The tour sees over one hundred artists, local representatives, members of the scientific community and technicians working together towards a once in a life-time theatre experience.
